Cellular Electric Field Probe added to Rental Service
The PMM EP-33MS has been added to the list of equipment available for short or long term rental from HF Instruments. Designed for use with the PMM 8053, OR-03, SB-04 and PMM 8055S electromagnetic field meters, the isotropic E-Field probe has a specially weighted frequency response that excludes electromagnetic emissions below 700MHz. This effectively blocks out the influence of terrestrial television and radio broadcasts, Private Mobile Radio, emergency services and other devices and systems that use the radio frequency spectrum to 700MHz.
The frequency range of the probe - 700MHz to 3GHz - encompasses current cellular networks operating in the GSM bands (900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz), third generation networks (2.2GHz) and other communications frequencies such as Bluetooth (2.4GHz) making it ideally suited to Base Transceiver Station (BTS) site surveys, network planning and radiation hazard measurements.
